Initiation Timeline:


First Year (2008-09)

  • Review best practices/current research/sample materials
  • Define global relevancy
  • Review present curriculum
  • Evaluate present curriculum
  • Determine curricular direction based on global relevancy

Second Year (2009-10)

  • Continue to collect and review sample material
  • Incorporate curricular direction based on globally relevant concepts
  • Initiate new courses
  • Collaboratively re-evaluate curriculum
  • Begin drafting revised or new curriculum documents

Third Year (2010-11)

  • Implement new curricular changes and resource materials
  • Provide appropriate staff development support
  • Develop appropriate school-wide assessments to show student progress
  • Teachers develop classroom units that are aligned to the new curriculum and resource materials
  • Determine review cycle of subject areas
